Peter Blatchley, Elder for Worship

In worship the faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God’s service in the world (The Book of Order).

8:30 am --- Early Service, traditional worship

9:15 am ---The Gathering, contemporary worship, with live music

10:15-10:55 am --- Sunday school for all ages

11:00 am --- Late Service, traditional worship

The Gathering is a casual, musical service at 9:15 am, in the Fellowship hall. Dr. Hampton preaches and Youth Director, LuBecca Long, is worship leader.

The style of liturgy and music at both the 8:30 am and the 11:00 am services is traditional. These services are held in the Sanctuary. We usually incorporate the scriptures from the Revised Common Lectionary into the liturgy and as the basis for the sermon. The adult Chancel Choir sings at the 11:00 am service. The children’s Westminster Choir sings occasionally at either service.

Young Disciples, age 3 to 1st grade, sit on the chancel steps with Pastor Brent to hear a sermon during the 11:00 service, and then go to Children's Bible Hour.

Between services there is time to connect with each other and for Sunday school for all ages.

Childcare for infants and toddlers is available during all services and Sunday school.
